PETT LEVEL RESCUE BOAT
Pett Level Rescue Boat is an independent inshore rescue boat facility working in close co-operation with HM Coastguard, Search and Rescue Helicopter teams at Lydd, and the RNLI.
They operate from a custom built boat house in Pett Level, which is home to an office and two RIB rescue boats.
All the team are volunteers who give their time to help, - from boat crew, shore crew and maintenance, to fund-raising, administration and the team who run the charity. All of their operations rely on donations from the public and various organisations who support their work.
RNLI Hastings Lifeboat Station was established in 1858 and operates a Shannon Class All-Weather Lifeboat 13-28 'Richard & Caroline Colton' and a D-Class Inshore Lifeboat D-835 'Richard Francis'.
Both lifeboats launch from a shingle beach.
The current boathouse opened in 1995, one of the first in the country with dedicated Visitor Centre facilities.
Visit the station to view the Lifeboats and learn more about the volunteer crew and the work of the Hastings Lifeboats. There is a viewing platform with interactive displays, and full disabled access.

Hastings Sea Cadets aim to give young people an experience that will help them grow into the person they want to be in a safe and friendly environment.
